Winners all round at Charity Football match

This was more than just a game — it was a celebration of NHS staff coming together, as Portsmouth Hospitals took on South Central Ambulance Service (Hampshire) at the Havant and Waterlooville Stadium. 

"It was not exactly Manchester United vs Real Madrid, but it was fun and entertaining," said Peter McQuillan, Consultant in Critical Care at the QA. 

As we all know, football is a results business, and not only did Portsmouth Hospitals emerge victorious with an 8-5 win over their ambulance colleagues; but a total of £591 was raised for Portsmouth Hospitals Charity. 

To demonstrate how the NHS is a single healthcare team, at the end of the match players from both sides appeared together in a joint team photo.
